Heather Christie is a vocalist, producer, DJ, and creative visionary — and the founder of Mind Body Music, a holistic music school, and Moonbabe Records, a sanctuary for mamas and female artists. An Ableton Certified Trainer and Recording Academy member, she is devoted to helping people awaken their creativity and reconnect with their deepest expression through music and the healing arts.
“The future of sound is feminine.”
Heather Christie is a singer, producer, DJ, Ableton Certified Trainer, and the founder of Moonbabe Records — a motherhood-focused label championing sonic sovereignty for women and a new generation of empowered artists.
Raised in Santa Cruz by a family of Grateful Dead lovers, Heather has been following the dream of performing since age five — moving through classical choir, teen singing competitions, and Broadway musicals. In college, she discovered modern dance and found deep inspiration in avant-garde choreographer Anna Halprin. When she began learning Ableton, she unlocked a new dimension of her artistry, connecting with audiences through bass and trance energy that opens new realms of consciousness and self-identity.
Her musical journey has spanned multiple acclaimed collaborations, including Feral Fauna, Silk Drop, Honeywild, and Sirens of Soul — with Feral Fauna's Tincture earning viral recognition and millions of streams. She has shared stages with luminaries like Ayla Nereo and Rising Appalachia, and performed at prestigious festivals including Lightning in a Bottle and Envision. In 2016, she reached Hollywood Week as a second-round finalist on American Idol.
Today, Heather writes, sings, and produces tribal organic house music steeped in the sounds of world cultures, releasing her work through Moonbabe Records. For live shows, she DJs, sings, and dances while her husband accompanies her on world instruments including the Moroccan sintir. As both an Ableton Certified Trainer and a voting member of the Recording Academy, her influence spans from the intimacy of the studio to the highest levels of the industry.
Her daughter Naya deepened her conviction that the music industry needs a holistic space where female artists and mothers are truly celebrated. Moonbabe Records is her answer — a platform built on empowerment, creative sovereignty, and honoring feminine cycles alongside the realities of motherhood. Through her label, coaching business, and immersive programs like The Sound Dojo, Heather offers artist development rooted in vocal embodiment and music production, with women-focused retreats and courses that are reshaping the industry one voice at a time.
With her upcoming work with collaborators and clients, Heather continues to evolve — radiating the belief that her greatest work is her whole life. As she puts it: "It's yet another pursuit. It's another level of creativity. I believe my greatest work is my life, my whole life. This is just a part of it."
